The scores we use in our rating system is fairly standard, to help you select the rating for that cigar you just smoked we've put together this little cheat sheet.

100-96 = Outstanding.  A cigar that has many excellent features; such as flavors, complexity, construction, etc.  Something special.

95-91 = Great.  A cigar that has some better than above average features.

90-88 = Above average

87-86 = Average

85-80  = Below average.  Serious construction problems, no complexity, bad flavors, etc. are all signs of a below average cigar.  Still smokeable.

79 and below = Cigars that are unsmokeable due to failures in construction or flavors so bad smoking had to cease.
