I tried this cigar for two reason: first, the excellent review it had received on this site (99 pts.); and second I am a fan of the Gran Habanos 3 Siglos Churchill. It gives an hour and a half of fine smoking and you can find them now between two and three dollars a stick. With the economy the way it is that is an excellent option for an everyday smoke. I found this model, the gran robusto, to share some qualities with the churchill. These include good and bad qualities. First the good, excellent flavors of nuts, spice, and leather. Cheap, can not beat the price. Excellent construction when not plugged.
The bad, well as with the churchill there always seems to be one out of ten that is seriously plugged. I use a serrated plunger to clean them out, but still a bit of a pain when you are trying to relax. Next, no real complexity. Last, for the same price you can get the longer churchill and enjoy it longer!
